Anyone else seen or heard these guys yet?....Lamb Of God are one of my favorites of the newer metal bands.

"Ashes Of The Wake" is their masterpiece!, the new one "Sacrament" is more comercial sounding and also very good. "As The Palaces Burn" is the one before A.O.T.W. came out
and was the one that first got my attention of this band. The two CD's they put out even earlier are for super-fans only.

They also have a cool DVD "Killadelphia" that is worth checking out.

Besides being a greatest hits compilation with the DVD you also get an honest look into a few days in the life of a hard working and even harder living band on the road. It's like a reality show of this band, one of the highlights is watching the drunken lead singer get his ass kicked in a fist fight with one of the lead guitarists. After watching this DVD you feel like you know all the members of the band.

My nephews love them.
They have some talented musicians, but I just can't get heavy into them.

Nomad check out the Killadelphia DVD sometime...after a few viewings I bet you'll like them.

It's one of the best concert DVD's that I own, it will make their music a lot easier to digest...and watching the behind the scenes stuff is hilarious.

I didn't like them right off the bat either.....it takes some listens to really understand all that is going on.

They are a combination of Pantera, Slayer and Megadeth influences.

As is GWAR... but I don't like to think about it that much.

LoG are one of the few bands that plays here all the time. My older step-daughter goes to see them all the time... of course, she also goes to see GWAR. :headsmack:

I try not to hold it against her. :lmao:

I'll admit it.....I love GWAR!

I saw GWAR in a small club years ago, It took about a week to get all of the fake blood & semen off of me.

Good times ...:gig:

GWAR's humor is sooo screwed up to the point where you are either increeeeeedibly disgusted or absolutley dying laughing. There's a track of their live album where they bring up and effigy of Lacey Peterson, by far the most tasteless thing in the world, and I couldn't stop laughing. As Far as LoG goes, there's a few songs here and there I like from them Again We Rise, Redneck, and Walk with Me In Hell come to mind.

Metallica
Lamb Of God
The Sword

Lamb Of God is the main support act for Metallica for all of the December leg of their tour.

That makes it well worth the money for me.
