I believe I might have mentioned this somewhere on the board a long time ago, but Boston's first album is my desert island album. I could hear these songs every single day and never get tired of them. Let's face it; I have to be in the mood now to hear KISS' Rock N Roll All Nite or I may kill somebody if it comes on. But there's something about that first Boston album that always seems to grab me EVERY SINGLE time.

I think I am about the only rock fan that is absolutely so sick and tired of Boston that I don't think I'll ever spin one of their albums voluntarily again.

When they come on the radio, my hand is on the dial before the second bar.

That's how Nappy has become with Bob Seegar. Every time a song comes on he almost has a stroke.

Yep. Understandable... but I love me some Seger, especially the 70's stuff.

I haven't been into a lot of these bands long enough to be that way (like Steve)

but the first album is indeed very well done :B I believe we did a review on it at one point? Maybe it was #2...

anyway, i opened this because i thought we were talking about Boston...the city :headsmack: I am way overtired...not going to be a good posting session tonight

I don't love EVERY song on that album, but the ones I love, I will always love.

I think Foreplay is brilliant and I could listen to it at any volume any number of times. Having said that, Long Time is a bit anticlimactic afterwards and I sometimes go back to foreplay after the introductory bars of Long Time.... pretty much right at the vocals.

I actually am talking about the actual music but rereading this, i see the potential for this thread going where all threads eventually go... for the record, that was not my intent, but there's no other choice, given the song titles.

You wouldn't believe what I already edited and reworded!

Yes, yes. We always start threads about major U.S. cities here in the 80sMetalServer.

Love the debut and the second one (Don't Look Back) almost as much.

You said "Foreplay"... :gig:

...and "Long Time"... :gig:

Actually, that's one of the few I'll actually put up with on occasion. I don't know what happened, to be honest. I used to love these guys... but now, they just grate on my nerves almost instantly.

I certainly can't knock them, though. Their first two albums are stellar... I'm just burned out on them in a big way.
