I can see that. I don't ever recall hearing about a release of this magnitude with a problem that significant.

As somebody who worked at a cd factory for 7 years, allow me to say that there are plenty of big mistakes like that that happen. The only thing that anybody usually hears about it is that the release date may be pushed back a week. That happens all the time, doesn't it?

The difference being that defective copies don't normally make it to the consumer in large amounts, do they?

Hmmm.

The only mistakes I can recall are getting two disc ones in a copy of Springsteen's "Hammersmith Odeon, London '75"... and having the printing for disc one and disc two reversed on my copy of GN'R's "Live Era '87-'93."

I still have the GN'R in my collection, come to think of it... :gig:

When I was a kid I used to get excited if I got a comic book that had two covers. What a little nerd.

TWISTED SISTER's previously announced appearance on tonight's (Thursday, July 23) edition of NBC-TV's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" will be rescheduled to a later date. The band explains: "While fighting off a shark in the Long Island Sound on Monday (that's his story and he's sticking with it), [TS frontman] Dee Snider received a severe cut across the front pad of his left food requiring 10 stitches. Due to this injury, he is unable to walk and TWISTED SISTER's appearance on the 'Jimmy Fallon' show [Thursday] night has to be rescheduled."

Commented Dee, "I have NEVER performed sitting down, and I never will...especially with a full face of makeup! DAMN YOU, SHARK!"

According to The Associated Press, TWISTED SISTER guitarist Eddie Ojeda is recuperating from emergency back surgery that forced him to miss the band's concert near Philadelphia.

Ojeda experienced intense pain that prevented him from standing or sitting, went to a hospital and had surgery to repair a ruptured disc, according to bandmate Jay Jay French. Dan McCafferty, who played guitar in singer Dee Snider's solo band, was pressed into duty as a last-minute replacement at the Keswick Theater in Glenside, Pennsylvania on Wednesday night (December 2).

TWISTED SISTER guitarist Eddie Ojeda will take part in a meet-and-greet on Saturday, May 1 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at Alto Music in Middletown, New York.

Eddie Ojeda's solo album, "Axes 2 Axes", was released in 2006. The CD features guest appearances by such acclaimed hard rock/heavy metal vocalists as Ronnie James Dio (DIO, RAINBOW, BLACK SABBATH), Dee Snider (TWISTED SISTER), and Joe Lynn Turner (RAINBOW, DEEP PURPLE, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN). Rudy Sarzo (QUIET RIOT, WHITESNAKE, DIO, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) plays bass on two tracks, with Chris McCarvill handling the rest. Drummer Joe Franco (TWISTED SISTER, VINNIE MOORE, JACK BRUCE) plays on the entire record. The cover artwork for "Axes 2 Axes" was conceived by German artist Timo Wuerz.

Ojeda is featured in an instructional DVD from Music Star Productions, entitled "Eddie Ojeda Twisted Method". Eddie gives TWISTED fans throughout the world up close and personal lessons into his rockin' riffs and blazing solos! Learn rock anthems such as "I Wanna Rock" and "We're not Gonna Take It" as well as TWISTED classics "The Price" and "The Fire Still Burns". Eddie also gives tips and offers candid insight into his gear, influences and TWISTED beginnings.

Unlike most of its classic counterparts, TWISTED SISTER has no intentions of ever touring again. "It will never ever happen," TWISTED SISTER guitarist Jay Jay French tells AOL's Noisecreep. "I would just assume things would maybe happen, but we will never tour [again]. I look at the mathematics of it every year, the mathematics makes no sense. None. Every year people ask me, every year I revisit the math. Every year it completely makes no sense to tour. It's just an incredibly money-losing proposition. I don't like losing money."

"I know what these [other legacy] bands make, I know their lifestyle, I know what they do," continues French. "I can't function that way. I don't believe it's viable for them. I believe they [tour] because they really have no other options on this planet. And by going out on the road constantly, they devalue themselves because they're out there all the time. We work in a completely separate business model. If I don't play, guess what? My value increases, doesn't it? So the less I play, the more valuable I become. So I work completely opposite. I'll bet you I make more money playing 12 shows than most [other] bands make playing 50 shows."

I think if Dee Snider told him they were doing 50 shows this year, he would do 50 shows this year.
