Get ready for a raucous night of comedy, charity and chaos. Revolver and Guitar World are proud to announce the second annual Rock & Roll Roast comedy series with honoree Dee Snider, lead singer of the legendary 1980s rock band TWISTED SISTER.

The exclusive event will take place at The Grove in Anaheim, California on Thursday, January 24, 2013 and will air live on AXS TV at midnight ET / 9 p.m. PT; a portion of all proceeds will benefit MusiCares, a nonprofit organization of The Recording Academy that provides emergency financial assistance and addiction recovery resources to music people in need.

Roastmaster Penn Jillette and other metal-loving luminaries such as last year's honoree Zakk Wylde, ANTHRAX's Scott Ian, Lita Ford, WWE legend Mick Foley and "That Metal Show" host Eddie Trunk, as well as comedy and roast veterans Jim Norton, Craig Gass, Jim Florentine and more will all take aim at the TWISTED SISTER frontman and reality TV icon, best known for his outspoken personality, his golden locks and his appearances on "The Celebrity Apprentice". Jose Mangin (of SiriusXM and "Headbangers Ball" fame) will also be on hand to serve as the evening's official DJ.

Roastee Snider commented: "Roasters remember: P.A.M.F. Payback's A Mutha F**ker!" Rock & Roll Roast executive producer Josh Bernstein added, "They say you only roast the ones you love, but with Dee Snider, we’ll be making an exception."

Beyond being the iconic lead singer of '80s sensation TWISTED SISTER, Dee Snider has starred in several reality TV shows ("The Celebrity Apprentice", "Gone Country", MTV's "Rock The Cradle", A&E's "Growing Up Twisted") and frequently hosts programs on MTV Networks along with his own long-running nationally syndicated radio show "House Of Hair". Never setting his limits, Dee has taken on the role of film producer, actor, voiceover artist, political advocate and, most recently, Broadway star with his run in the hit musical "Rock Of Ages". His autobiography, "Shut Up And Give Me The Mic", was released in the summer of 2012 and Dee returns to the small screen in March 2013 as part of the cast of "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice".

This show will kick off on the opening night of the 2013 NAMM show in Anaheim, California. This live charity event is not open to the public, but if you want to attend and learn more about being a sponsor for this once-in-a-lifetime event benefiting a great charity and cause, visit RockAndRollRoast.com

I'm waiting for a Gene roast. Somehow I don't think he would participate in an event where his ego would take such a bashing.

They did?! Holy crap! Did anybody make any fat jokes? Paul jabbed him in one of the KISSOLOGY books by writing a comment by one of the photos. And was this before of after his naughty video got put on the internet?

A three-minute video clip in which Gus and Reggie of the Puppet Shakespeare Players teach you about the letter D with the help of special guest, TWISTED SISTER's Dee Snider, can be seen below.

Puppet Shakespeare Players is a New York City-based troupe dedicated to bringing Shakespeare's work to the masses. Their mission is to reinvent and reimagine the Bard's work through comedy, puppetry and a variety of other mediums while staying true to the original intent and spirit of Shakespeare's plays. It is their belief that these works promote conversation across backgrounds, cultures and ages through language, poetry and pure entertainment.

In his new autobiography, "Shut Up And Give Me The Mic", Dee Snider of TWISTED SISTER has nothing nice to say about KROKUS, the veteran hard rockers from Switzerland. For an entire chapter, he rages about KROKUS, calls the band "Crapus" and states: "You have no idea how close you came landing on the bottom of a lake."

The reason for his outburst: KROKUS commissioned Snider's wife Suzette in 1982 to sew stage outfits for the band's U.S. tour, but the former KROKUS manager refused to pay her for her services.

"These guys ripped off my wife and threatened her," says Snider, who points out that his wife's mother emigrated from Switzerland.

"I was proud of this rock band from the home country of my mother," says Suzette. But the pride has turned into rage.

KROKUS bassist/producer Chris Von Rohr recalls: "The clothes did not match at all our expectations. Too much harlequin style. So we made a bonfire of it."

Many years have passed and KROKUS are older and wiser. "If we have not treated his wife with due respect, we are sorry," Von Rohr says

Von Rohr proposes to Dee and his wife to bury the hatchet and drink a beer or two together at a festival this year where both bands will perform in reconciliation of an event that happened over 30 years ago.

Swiss newspaper Blick reached Snider by phone and submitted KROKUS' peace offer. "If they are serious, I think it's a nice gesture," says Snider. "But I have to ask my wife first if she is ready to forgive KROKUS."

Geriatric rocker fight!!!

I got $20 on Snider. He's a NY boy... which means he fights dirty as hell.

Plus, Switzerland is world famous for not fighting. Ever. For any reason.

I guess that pretty much makes them an easy target if you're gonna run your mouth about another band.

Krokus had some serious Spandex Specials in the early 80s just like everyone else, but let's face it... Twisted Sister's gear was on a whole new level of ridiculous. I can't imagine the get-ups she designed for Storace & Co... nor do I want to.
