Legendary rockers KING'S X will return to the North American tour circuit this fall as direct support to KANSAS.

In regards to this upcoming trek, KING'S X bassist/vocalist Doug Pinnick comments: "I've been a huge KANSAS fan since the beginning. I remember sitting on the floor with my friends listening to the just released record 'Song For America'... Fast forward to years later, KING'S X is going on tour with them!! It is an honor to be doing shows with them. This is gonna rock!!"

These dates will mark KING'S X's first performances since Gaskill's remarkable recovery from a major heart attack earlier this year.

"Not too long ago I was thinking I might not ever get back on a stage, now I'm ready and with the OK from all my doctors," says Gaskill. "What better way to get back than to tour with the legendary KANSAS. Let's rock..."

KANSAS original member and guitar virtuoso Richard Williams adds, "We are really looking forward to the upcoming shows with KING'S X. They're a great band and a force to be reckoned with. It's a tour like this that allows us to dig a little bit deeper into our catalogue and play a few songs that KANSAS fans haven't heard for a while. It's gonna be a lot of fun!"

On select dates, the one-man band THAT 1 GUY (featuring Mike Silverman) will open the show.

All confirmed tour dates are below with more dates to be added soon.

Tickets go on sale June 15 unless otherwise noted.

KING'S X drummer Jerry Gaskill and his wife suffered devastating losses during Hurricane Sandy, which killed more than 70 people and caused $50 billion worth of damage. Jerry and Julie live on the coast of New Jersey, the state hardest hit by the storm which hammered much of the northeastern United States on Monday (October 29). They lost almost every material possession they owned and are displaced from their home.

The friends and fans of Jerry Gaskill are uniting to raise money to help Jerry and his wife rebuild after Hurricane Sandy.

Gaskill suffered a heart attack on February 26 and underwent an emergency operation before being released from the hospital three weeks later.

Gaskill was scheduled to enter the studio in late November with Nashville-based songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist D.A. Karkos to track drums for Gaskill's solo record with legendary producer/engineer/mixer Michael Wagener at Wagener's WireWorld studio in Nashville.

Dear God... This guy is snake-bit lately. :(

Best wishes for him and his family. I hope they can rebuild and get their lives back to normal quickly. :B

KING'S X frontman Doug "Dug" Pinnick has just released a special holiday-themed digital-only single via RockArmy Records and his own dUgtone imprint featuring the songs "Holiday" and "Ho Ho Ho". This single comes right on the heels of the release of the first single from Doug's upcoming solo album, "Naked", to be issued via RockArmy Records in the first quarter of 2013, featuring the songs "What You Gonna Do?" and "Courage". Videos for both "Holiday" and "What You Gonna Do?" can be viewed below.

"Naked" will be Pinnick's sixth solo album, including two released under the moniker POUNDHOUND. Pinnick wrote, performed, produced, and mixed the CD and the new single on his own in his home studio in Los Angeles. "Holiday" and "Ho Ho Ho" were mastered by engineer and RockArmy Records owner Paul Soroski, the bassist for PODUNK, who have done numerous national tours alongside KING'S X, TESLA, and others. Soroski's studio credits include 2010's "Dead New World" by ILL NINO and 2009's "Reflections" by RAZR13, which features Pinnick on lead vocals.

Pinnick is best known as the vocalist/bassist for KING'S X, the influential hard rock act that also features guitarist Ty Tabor and drummer Jerry Gaskill. KING'S X celebrated 32 years of activity as a band in 2012 with a run of U.S. dates alongside KANSAS. The band's most recent studio album, "XV", was released in 2008 and was their highest-charting album since 1996's "Ear Candy". In 2005, VH1 included KING'S X in its list of "100 Greatest Artists In Hard Rock."
