Damn. I can't make it that day... I couldn't get there in time. :x

I'd be more interested in seeing Procol Harum, even without Trower.

I would LOVE to see Gary Brooker. Out-fucking-standing vocalist, even now... I've watched many a YouTube video of their recent shows.

Jon Anderson’s on-again, off-again recording project with fellow Yes alums Rick Wakeman and Trevor Rabin is apparently back on again. The three are passing around demos, and even contemplating a tour together.

Anderson was a co-founding member of Yes, singing on 19 band projects between 1969-78 and 1983-2001. Anderson last appeared on stage with Yes in 2004, and officially departed four years later. He has since recorded a studio effort and live album with Rick Wakeman, who actually had five separate stints with Yes — in 1971-1974; 1976-1980, 1991-1992; 1995-1997 and 2002-2008.

Trevor Rabin joined Yes just before 1983′s 90125, a project that he led into platinum success on the strength of Yes’ lone No. 1 hit single “Owner of the Lonely Heart.” He remained with Yes through 1994′s Talk, developing a growing creative relationship with Anderson. Rabin never worked with Wakeman on a studio project while with Yes, however, though they duo did tour together as part of the eight-man concert series in support of the 1991 album Union. He later was a guest on Wakeman’s 1999 concept album Return to the Centre of the Earth

It's just amazing how many different projects a band like Yes goes through... You'd go cross-eyed and blind trying to trace them all out.

I might try it.

Call it a true classic rock triple header — and the quintessential live concert experience.

In a career first, iconic and Grammy-winning rock band YES will perform three of their classic albums in their entirety, all in one concert, on a special tour in 2013: 1971's "The Yes Album", 1972's "Close To The Edge" and 1977's "Going For The One". Music audiences will experience the albums, each representing an important milestone in YES' career, performed from beginning to end.

The multi-platinum progressive rock band — bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Geoff Downes and singer Jon Davison — will kick off the North American tour March 1 and conclude April 12 in Detroit.

After starting in West Wendover, Nevada, the historic trek continues down the West Coast including stops in Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles before heading east for shows in New York, Toronto, Detroit and more. See the full itinerary below.

The tour will mark the first time since 1973 that YES — who have sold close to 50 million albums worldwide — have performed an album onstage in its entirety.

Steve Howe says, "These albums we all easily agreed on — they are complete works in themselves," adding that several of the songs have rarely been performed live. "I believe the only song not performed in concert is 'A Venture' from 'The Yes Album'," says Chris Squire. "And probably the most tricky of all the songs planned for this set is 'Turn Of The Century' from the 'Going For The One' album." Alan White believes, "This is a great opportunity to show the growth of YES in these different eras — and to relive the memories of these times."

"The Yes Album" is widely considered to be the band's breakthrough album. Certified platinum, it features such signature songs as "Yours Is No Disgrace" and "I've Seen All Good People". The band's album "Close To The Edge" was on the U.S. chart for 32 weeks, peaking at No. 3. "Going For The One" went gold, hit No. 8 on the U.S. chart and featured two singles, "Wonderous Stories" (which hit No. 6) and the title track (No. 24).

"I think the 12-inch album is alive and well as reinforced by the rising interest in the analog format," says Squire when asked about the album format in the singles-driven digital age. The album, says Howe, "has never totally gone away — there are those who completely understand."

Tickets can be purchased in advance. Moreover, YES is proud to provide special show packages, which include near-stage seating, a meet and greet with the band, exclusive limited-edition gifts from YES, and much more.

Tour dates:

Mar. 01 - West Wendover, NV - Peppermill Concert Hall *
Mar. 03 - Seattle, WA - Moore Theatre
Mar. 05 - San Francisco, CA - The Warfield
Mar. 06 - Los Angeles, CA - Orpheum Theatre

Yes have banned singer Jon Davison from fronting his band Glass Hammer during the Cruise To The Edge tour.

The shipboard festival sets sail on March 25, featuring Steve Hackett, Carl Palmer, Tangerine Dream, Genesis Revisited, IOEarth and many others, along with Yes – who headline the five-day extravaganza – and Glass Hammer.

But the American outfit have been told to bring a stand-in singer, because Davison will not be allowed to perform with them.

Founding member Steve Babb reports: “Some of you know that we’ve invited Carl Groves to rejoin the band for a Twentieth Anniversary Concert in Chattanooga, TN on March 10.

“We’re happy to announce he’ll not only join us for that show, but will be fronting the group for the Cruise To The Edge concerts as well.

“We realise some of you will be disappointed that Jon Davison will not be fronting the band. I can only assure you that Jon and the other members immediately said ‘yes’ when asked to do the Cruise, but Yes management said ‘no’!”

Davison joined Glass Hammer in 2009 and replaced Benoit David in Yes last year. The band recently told how sharing their singer had been good for them. Davison last month said he and Chris Squire had started work on a Yes album with the aim of releasing it this year.

We really need a face palm smiley on here just for Yes.

It's like a mellower version of the Great White battle and a less douchier version of the Queensryche fight.

I am deeply grateful for all the messages of sympathy and support we have received following the tragic death of my beloved and irreplaceable youngest daughter, Alexandra.

I will be honouring all professional commitments, but in the meantime I humbly request that my family, my loved ones and I be afforded privacy and time in which we can grieve and be as one with our thoughts.

Geoffrey Downes, 18 February 2013

I believe she died in a car accident ,

Yep. That does seem a little silly.

I'd be honored to be asked to join a band with the legendary pedigree of Yes... but a little less honored when they started busting out contracts and "forbidding" me from performing anywhere else.
