Wolfgang Spahrof of Billboard.com reports: The album "Liebe ist Für Alle Da" ("Love is For All") by German hard rock group RAMMSTEIN — currently at No. 2 on Billboard's European Albums Chart — has been banned from public display in German stores with effect from Nov. 11 on account of its depictions of sadism/masochism, which have been deemed to be harmful to children and young people.

Announcing this ruling, Petra Meier, the deputy president of the Federal Office for the Examination of Media Harmful to Young People, cited the track "Ich tue Dir Weh" ("I Want to Hurt You") as well as the artwork showing guitarist Richard Kruspe with a masked, naked woman on his knees.

Too obscene to be on German shelves, but not sick enough to be German porn.

German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN will release a new single in the U.S. on February 9 entitled "Ich Tu Dir Weh" exclusively through iTunes. The follow-up single to the controversial "Pussy" single/video, "Ich Tu Dir Weh" is taken from the Berlin-based band's critically acclaimed sixth studio album, "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da".

The "Ich Tu Dir Weh" single bundle will include four remix bonus tracks and a digital booklet. The entire bundle is $4.99 and the songs will also be available for individual purchase.

Not a bad price compared to some Single prices I've seen. But, fuck iTunes.

German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN have scheduled what appears to be a one-off show in the U.S. — the band's first in 10 years — on December 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

In a recent interview with Seattle Gay News, RAMMSTEIN guitarist Richard Kruspe was asked when fans could expect to see the band perform in America. "Good question," he replied. "Actually, we talked about it today, a lot. What we plan to do right now is a lot of things — we're not 20 anymore, so things have changed for us. At the moment, it looks like America is the only market where we cannot provide the same show as we play in the rest of the world. So we have to be balanced, like, what makes financial sense? One of my dreams is Madison Square Garden — just to play one show and to feel out, like if there is a need for us, are people waiting for us, what can we do, what would be the next step? It can change, nothing is set in stone, nothing is confirmed, but we've talked about what's the best thing, so the fans are happy and the band is happy. But I'm a big supporter of the American market."

RAMMSTEIN's long-awaited retrospective release, "Made In Germany 1995 - 2011", will be available on December 6 through Universal Germany's marketing and distribution deal in the U.S. with Vagrant Records.

"Made In Germany 1995 - 2011" will be available in three different editions:

* Standard Edition: CD Digipak - Best of Album

* Special Edition: 2-CD Digipak - Best of Album and Best of Remixes

* Super Deluxe Edition: 2-CD (Best of Album and Best of Remixes) as well as 3 DVDs (including the full RAMMSTEIN video catalog, all previously available "Making of" and 8 unreleased "Making of" videos) packaged in a steel box complete with a 240-page booklet. Limited to 1200 copies in the U.S.

All songs and videos on "Made In Germany 1995 - 2011" have been remastered for this release.

RAMMSTEIN will release a new single, "Mein Land", on November 14 (three days earlier in Germany, Austria and Switzerland). It will be available as a four-track release via iTunes with a previously unreleased song, "Vergiss Uns Nicht", as well as remixes from BossHoss and Mogwai accompanied by the "Mein Land" video and a digital booklet. The Amazon version will be "Mein Land" and the two remixes.

The video for "Mein Land" was recently filmed with renowned Swedish director Jonas Åkerlund — who has previously worked with METALLICA, SATYRICON, OZZY OSBOURNE, MADONNA and THE PRODIGY, among others — and will make its online debut on November 11 at Rammstein.com.

RAMMSTEIN's latest album, "Liebe Ist Für Alle Da", sold 22,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 13 on The Billboard 200 chart. Previously, the group's best rank came with its 1998 chart debut, "Sehnsucht", which peaked at No. 45 off the strength of its only U.S. radio chart hit, "Du Hast".

"Liebe Ist Für Alle Da" arrived in stores on October 20, 2009 through a marketing and distribution deal with Vagrant Records and Universal Music Germany. The album was produced by Jacob Hellner and RAMMSTEIN, with recording done at Northern California's Sonoma Mountain Studio. The first single from the 11-track release was "Pussy", which was released as a digital single on September 22, 2009 and accompanied by one of the year's most viral videos.

According to New York's Daily News, the 15-year-old accused of shooting a classmate at a suburban Baltimore high school on the first day of school was "obsessed" with the German industrial metal band RAMMSTEIN.

Bobby Gladden was arrested Monday (August 27) after allegedly opening fire in the lunchroom at Perry Hall High School. Police say he critically injured a fellow student, Daniel Borowy, before guidance counselor Jesse Wasmer tackled Gladden and took the gun away.

Gladden, who listed his nickname as "SuicidalSmile" on his Facebook page, posted the following status update the morning of the shooting: "First day of school, last day of my life. ... fuck the world."

Gladden described himself as a "metalhead" and a fan of MARILYN MANSON and SLIPKNOT, and had picture of RAMMSTEIN frontman Till Lindemann as his Facebook "cover photo."

Baltimore County Police Chief James Johnson said at a news conference that Gladden rode to school on the bus with a bag containing a disassembled shotgun, 21 rounds of ammunition and a bottle of vodka.

German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN have set a January 15, 2013 release date for "Videos 1995-2012" on standard DVD and Blu-ray. The collection includes the legendary band's complete music video catalog along with two new videos for the song "Mein Herz Brennt". The set contains over seven hours of material featuring 25 music videos, 24 behind-the-scenes clips of the making-of-the-videos and a 56-page booklet. Available on three DVDs or two Blu-rays, the collection will be released through the band's marketing and distrubiton deal with Density Records in the U.S.

"Mein Herz Brennt", from the band's 2001 release, "Mutter", will see new versions of the song released on December 11, 2012 as a six-track digital single with booklet — available exlusively through iTunes. The single package also inludes the previously unreleased track "Gib Mir Deine Augen". Fans can also purchase the two new videos via iTunes — one on December 11 and the other on December 18.

RAMMSTEIN released "Made In Germany", their greatest hits album, last December and the Berlin-based six-piece have been performing extensively around the world. RAMMSTEIN keep up the pace in 2013 with several European festivals already confirmed.

Universal Music has announced that due to a manufacturing plant error, the release of RAMMSTEIN's "Videos 1995-2012" will be delayed until February. The new date will be announced next week. Originally due in stores on January 15, the release was postponed as the band wanted to ensure their fans receive the highest-quality packaging possible. Fans who purchased the collection through Amazon's pre-order will receive their DVDs in conjunction with the new release date.
