A return to their more mellow side like Lightbulb Sun , but not as mellow as that boring ass No-Man project. It took me a good 10 listens for disc one to really grab me, The second disc of songs has a couple good ones and a couple stinkers.

Highlights - Drawing the Line, Time Flies , I Drive the Hearse and Bonnie the Cat.

Lowlights - Flicker and The Black Dahlia

I think it's a step down from the previous 3 albums (In Absentia,Deadwing and Fear of a Blank Planet) ,but to be fair those are 3 classics.

7.5/10 recommended :tup

I've been having that trend lately of listening to albums many times before I get it. Make sure you play this for me with Binky there too.

I wish I could write a review that to the point (as does everyone else here, I'm sure)...

Good call. This one didn't quite grab me as well as the last three... but after a few spins, I'm starting to "get it."

My only problem is the length of The Incident... It doesn't all grab me, so it's practically impossible for me to listen to the whole thing end-to-end. In part, I think he was trying to make a point... particularly to the iTunes generation. I also think he's made that point, so he doesn't have a reason to continue producing those long, rambling, 27-part songs.
